Gadian Society

The Gádian society was set up after 10 years of research as a means of offering an alternative way of life to that of the material world.

The Gádians centre of the community is an organisation called the Council that is based on the extended family unit, relatives, neighbours, family linage, community who share a common interest and values. The Gádians society is holistic, covering, social, economic, political, philosophical and spiritual life of its people. That a balance between male & female, young and old, spiritual and physical powers.

The principle structure of the society is the family, if the family fails then there is no other substitute for it, the role of men and women are defined by their abilities, since it is obvious that men can't have babies, their task falls to the protection and survival of the mother and child. Strength of will combined with compassion of heart, from both man and women keep a family together, faint heart and self seeking breaks a family apart.

The Council protects the social structure of the Gádians, the structure is non-hieratical (not kings, queens, dictators, etc who claim linage of decent for their authority), it is the combination of many independent forces acting in harmony with each other that have as their basis or foundation the health, education, protection and livelihood of the society. The structure is broken down into eight stages, 1: Protection and education of the young (0-8), 2: the training and practical use of the knowledge by the initiate (8-16), 3: the self independence of maturity (16-21) 4: the protection of society (21-40), 5: Governance of society, (40-55), 6: The Council (55 till 80), 7: The Age of wisdom (80+) 8: The passing, a time when a person knows their death is imminent, they who have chosen to walk in the dreamtime, free from all burdens of society, cared and protected for till their death.

Age is often used as a way knowing if the person has reached a level of maturity and understanding required to pass into the next stage of development, these periods are not fixed and any person demonstrating skills beyond their age will be able to pass into higher groups. Their is no class structure to the society, as each person is responsible for their own governance, but respect is shown for those who have lived to reach the age of spiritual and emotional maturity.

The Society recognises the individual skills of the people and combines them into 8 different skill groups, 1: Education would cover, writing, training, theory; 2: Engineering would cover, mechanics, hydraulics, electronics: 3: Community would cover, child care, governance, rescue, defence; 4: Agriculture would cover food production, manufacture, storage, shipping; 5: Healing would cover hospitals, care facilities, pharmacology, rehabilitation: 6: Civics would cover roads, water supply, sewerage, bridges: 7: Environmental would cover parks and gardens, pest control, waste management: 8: Construction would cover building, trades, materials development. All these different skills are related to each other by the common need for the surval and protection of the society and if the balance between anyone one of them was to fail, then society would suffer.

The society has no fixed army or police force, but the establishment of minute men, as the word means, people who are capable of being any place at any time to defend the community or protect its order. All people physically capable of learning defensive skills are required to participate in the active protection of their community, whether it be from flood, fire, earthquakes, acts of aggression or any other event that is not part of the natural living of the society.

There is no imprisonment for those who have committed crimes against the community, but monitored living seperate from the community for the period of time set by the Council. They are free to travel but not return till their appointed time is over. This is often referred to in myths and legends as the island of lost souls.

Before the time of Noah, there were 4 types of societies, those who followed the path of the 1: Sun (external governance), 2: Moon (external praise), 3: Asters (external fate) and the fourth (internal spirit), the Gádians follwed neither of the last three but chose to follow a path of self-light, personal responsibility often called the awakened ones or enlightened ones. Man passes through each of these three stages till they reach spiritual and emotional maturity. The first represents the need of those born in innocence who rely on the protection of the love, respect and compassion of the community (sun), the next is those who are learning to respect themselves and their community (moon), the next is the determinig their own future from their trials of wisdom (asters), the next is the Man, represented by a Chevron an upside down 'V' with a circle above it which symbolises the rainbow on the mountain the achievement of emotional and spiritual maturity, man coming out of the world to becoming the carer of it.

It was neither bondage in service, nor being served, nor self-serving, it was "being" by your own capacity, any service provided was by means of self chosen careers, letting your own light shine, or self-sufficiency.

This is our history, this history covers many thousands of years, the migration through many countries, it covers the highlights of our society, law, beliefs, customs, arts, healing, architecture, education, food, clothing, entertainment and literature.

Gádian social structure is meant to bring you out of the world, as it is said "You become what you are currently taught and guided by", when you choose to follow any religion, it brings you out of the world of being, nolonger are you a slave to your desires and passions, but master of them, you begin to decide what you will do each day.

But what happens when you graduate from life to enternal life and become what you are currently taught and guided by, what do you do? This question has long been asked and gone unanswered till now.

When you become life, you are then free to choose what you will experience, learn and apply to your life. This carries with it a lot of responsibility to act from your own god-like nature. You work because this is what you want, you respect all as they are as free as you as some are coing to understand this. That where there is light there is no darkness or even shades of grey.

This does not mean you do not experience emotions, but you are the master of them, like children in play who have become adults, when i was a child i spoke as a child and when i grew up i put away my childish things, this did not mean that you stopped living, but you became free to live, you became parents, you are now free to look after your own children, play with them, but when they sleep you return to your life, caring for them, providing for them and maintaining a safe place for them.

Stages of life, childhood, parent, transitional, preparational, and graduation. Many of us don’t make it to our own graduation as our life passions catch up with us, bad food, bad drink, war or violent actions, immaturity and even stubbiness of heart and intellectual pride. They all bring us to our end of life long before we have learnt to use it.

In ancient times no man (male or female) was accepted to the government (council) until the age of 40, as by then you should have been able to deomonstrate an acceptable level of emotional and spiritual maturity, having lived and experienced all the aspects of life. Man did not seek power, power saught a refined man, not perfect, but a person who could understand life's issues and knew the equality in them.

Those who have learn these things became the custodians of them, to insure that they who are still meant to learn these things were able to do so. The Gádians realised this ability of a person to go from life to eternal life as it was and is still the responsibility of the individual to seek out and find their own life.

The highest function of education within the Gádian social structure is to bring about an integrated individual who is capable of dealing with life as a whole.

The idealist, like the specialist, is not concerned with the whole, but only the part.

Let us not think in terms of principles and ideals, but be concerned with things as they are, for it is the consideration of what is that awakens intelligence.

The Gádians will have the Earthly law directed by the Eternal law; People will not do things out of fear, but out of the complete understanding of what needs to be done.

Gádian Society

The principles of the Gádian Society are the recognition of the unifying principles that are found in all cultures, religions and societies, these principles hold together the fabric of these in times of trouble.

They show of the continious existence, the spiritual nature of man.

Jesus did not attack the teachings of the Hebrew prophets or the Greek moralists. The Master recognized the many good things which these great teachers stood for, but he had come down to earth to teach something additional, "the voluntary conformity of man's will to God's will." Jesus did not want simply to produce a religious man, a mortal wholly occupied with religious feelings and actuated only by spiritual impulses. Could you have had but one look at him, you would have known that Jesus was a real man of great experience in the things of this world. The teachings of Jesus in this respect have been grossly perverted and much misrepresented all down through the centuries of the Christian era; you have also held perverted ideas about the Master's meekness and humility. What he aimed at in his life appears to have been a superb self-respect. He only advised man to humble himself that he might become truly exalted; what he really aimed at was true humility toward God. He placed great value upon sincerity--a pure heart. Fidelity was a cardinal virtue in his estimate of character, while courage was the very heart of his teachings. "Fear not" was his watchword, and patient endurance his ideal of strength of character. The teachings of Jesus constitute a religion of valor, courage, and heroism. And this is just why he chose as his personal representatives twelve commonplace men, the majority of whom were rugged, virile, and manly fishermen.
